If you were disappointed with not seeing actual stars in a certain recent teen flick, this video will remedy that.

This is V838 Mon, a red star 20,000 light years away. Originally thought to be a stellar explosion, the expanding luminance is actually a light echo taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, illuminating the clouds of dust as it passes through.

You are seeing actual light travelling through space. Towards you.
